After my sister got one I was hooked. Compact for home use or camping. Great quality and design. Recommend

The only thing better than this pressure cooker would be a smaller size. For the portions I need the 2.7 is still a little big. I either cook up to much or have a lot of extra space in the cooker which may not be as efficient. Most important( because I love the cooker) I'd like a size that I can put in my backpack.

I bought this for home, but i take it camping as well. It's light and strong and works perfectly. Living and working at high altitude, a pressure cooker is the only way to cook beans, and I love beans! Pintos, anasazi, black beans not from a cam make me happy. Brown rice, quinoa, etc, all cook much faster and better with this cooker.

I love pressure cookers, despite being the older rocker valve style GSI added an overpressure valve rendering this simple pressure cooker 100% safe. Spring loaded pressure valves get dirty and can fail this is the cleanest simplest solution for the outdoors. I always take mine hiking and overnighting, most often soak black beans in a water bottle for the days hike, and cook with brown rice, dried vegetables and soup mixes for a complete protein high calorie meal at the end of the day with 1/3 the fuel required to cook the meal (literally 20min in the pressure cooker vs. 60min in in a reguler pot). Service from GSI is top notch as well and I recommend these all to my friends. A big thanks to GSI for bringing these to market. I have the 2.7L and am planning to get the 5.7L now that my kids are old enough to come along.
